【摘要】:Thispracticeshallbeusedwhenultrasonicinspectionfromtheboresurfaceisrequiredbytheorderorspecificationforinspectionpurposesinwhichtheacceptanceoftheforgingisbasedonlimitationsofthenumber,amplitude,orlocationofdiscontinuitiesoracombinationthereof,whichleadstoultrasonicindications.Theacceptancecriteriashallbestatedclearlyasorderrequirements.Thispracticespecifiesdualsearchunits,whichdependingontheangle,aresensitiveonlyto2to3in.intothemetalfromtheboresurface.1.1Thispracticecoversabasicprocedureofultrasonicallyinspectingcylindricalforgingswithboresfromtheboresurface.1.2Thispracticeappliestothemanualtestingmode.Itdoesnotrestricttheuseofothertestingmodes,suchasmechanizedorautomated.1.3Thispracticeappliestocylindricalforgingshavingboresizesequaltoorgreaterthan2.5in.(63.5mm).1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversiontoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
