【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscovertelecommunications-circuitaccessories,suchasjackandplugassemblies,quick-connectterminalassemblies,telephonewallplates,telephoneextensioncords,cross-connectterminal-blockassemblies,maintenanceterminalmodules,terminalenclosures,cable-spliceenclosures,network-interfacedevices,wire-guideassemblies,andconnectorboxes.1.2Thesedevicesareintendedtobeusedintelecommunicationsnetworksthathaveanoperatingroot-mean-square(rms)voltagetogroundlessthan150voltsandinstalledorusedinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.1.3Theserequirementsdonotcovertelephoneequipmentsuchastelephoneansweringdevices,residentialtelephoneinstruments,telephonedialers,cordlessphones,keysystems,andprivate-branchexchangeequipmentthatiscoveredbytheStandardforInformationTechnologyEquipment–Safety–PartI:GeneralRequirements,UL60950-1.Also,theserequirementsdonotcover:a)TelephoneprotectorsthatarecoveredbytheStandardforProtectorsforPaired-ConductorCommunicationsCircuits,UL497,andb)SecondaryprotectorsthatarecoveredbytheStandardforSecondaryProtectorsforCommunicationsCircuits,UL497A.1.3revisedMay14,20041.4Theserequirementsdonotcoverreceiver/transmitter-typedevices.EquipmentofthistypeiscoveredbytheStandardforAudio-VideoProductsandAccessories,UL1492,ortheStandardforAudio/VideoandMusicalApparatusforHousehold,Commercial,andSimilarGeneralUse,UL6500.Theserequirementsdonotcovercellulartelephonesorcellulardevices.EquipmentofthistypeiscoveredbyUL1492.1.4revisedMay14,20041.5Theserequirementsmaybeused,directlyorbyreference,toinvestigateportionsofotherequipment,notclassifiedastelecommunications-equipmentaccessories,thatmaybeconnectedtoatelecommunicationsnetwork,insofarastheymaybeapplicabletosuchequipment.1.6TheserequirementsdonotcoverwiresandcablesintendedtobepermanentlyinstalledinabuildinginaccordancewithArticle800oftheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70.
