【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversageneralprocedureforproof-voltagetestingofthinsolidelectricalinsulatingmaterialsatcommercialpowerfrequencies.Itisintendedtoapplyprincipallytoflatmaterialsbutisapplicable,withmodification,toanyformthatpermitscontinuouslypassingthematerialbetweensuitableelectrodes.Onextremelythinmaterials(usuallylessthan0.05mm(0.002in.)),thetestresultsmaybeinfluencedmorebymechanicaldamagecausedbyconditionsoftestthanbydielectricdefects.Consequently,thistestmethodisnotrecommendedforusewithextremelythinmaterials,unlesspriordeterminationhasestablishedthatthetestresultsarenotinfluencedbymechanicaldamage.Whiletheequipmentandproceduresdescribedinthistestmethodrelatespecificallytotestsmadewithpowerfrequencyacvoltages,similarequipmentandproceduresareusedforproof-voltagetestsusingdcvoltages.Totheextentthatitappliestodctests,thistestmethodcanserveasaguideforpersonsmakingsuchtests.However,onlytestsmadewithpowerfrequencyacvoltagescanbesaidtobeinaccordancewiththistestmethod.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecifichazardstatements,seeSection7.
