【摘要】:Susceptibilitytodelaminationisoneofthemajorweaknessesofmanyadvancedlaminatedcompositestructures.Knowledgeofalaminatedcompositematerial''sresistancetointerlaminarfractureisusefulforproductdevelopmentandmaterialselection.Furthermore,ameasurementoftheModeIinterlaminarfracturetoughness,independentofspecimengeometryormethodofloadintroduction,isusefulforestablishingdesignallowablesusedindamagetoleranceanalysesofcompositestructuresmadefromthesematerials.Thistestmethodcanservethefollowingpurposes:Toestablishquantitativelytheeffectoffibersurfacetreatment,localvariationsinfibervolumefraction,andprocessingandenvironmentalvariablesonGIcofaparticularcompositematerial.TocomparequantitativelytherelativevaluesofGIcforcompositematerialswithdifferentconstituents.Todevelopdelaminationfailurecriteriaforcompositedamagetoleranceanddurabilityanalyses.1.1ThistestmethoddescribesthedeterminationoftheopeningModeIinterlaminarfracturetoughness,GIc,ofcontinuousfiber-reinforcedcompositematerialsusingthedoublecantileverbeam(DCB)specimen(Fig.1).1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtousewithcompositesconsistingofunidirectionalcarbonfiberandglassfibertapelaminateswithbrittleandtoughsingle-phasepolymermatrices.Thislimitedscopereflectstheexperiencegainedinround-robintesting.Thistestmethodmayproveusefulforothertypesandclassesofcompositematerials;however,certaininterferenceshavebeennoted(see6.5).1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.(a)withpianohinges(b)withloadingblocksFIG.1DoubleCantileverBeamSpecimen
